The Best Designer of 2010
Alber Elbaz Lanvin the Creative Director will receive the award for Best Designer of the 2010 by Accessories Council Excellence (ACE). These awards will be handed over to Elbaz in a gala dinner in New York on November 1. “The ACE Awards nominees in the awards this year is the best designer labels and well as influential in the accessories industry,” said Council president Karen Giberson Accessories. Elbaz is a designer who born in Casablanca, Morocco, who immigrated to Israel with his family. Before continuing education at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Elbaz had joined the army in Israel, then realized that fashion is his way of life. In 1987, when he moved to New York, Elbaz began his career in the fashion world by working in manufacturing company that produces wedding dress, before then he was an apprentice for seven years with Geoffrey Beene. In 1997, Elbaz left Beene and join together with Guy Laroche and become one of the strengths in Laroche label back.
